The Role
Are you a food, beverage, or dairy manufacturing / plant sanitation expert with the ability to drive results for a global Fortune 500 Company?
Join Ecolab’s industry-leading Food & Beverage team as an Account Manager based in Athens, Greece.
This is a field-based role involving regular travel across South Greece to support and develop customer accounts, enabling broader geographical coverage and driving market growth.
As an Ecolab Account Manager – F&B, you will be responsible for delivering both technical sales and service excellence, with a strong focus on supporting hygiene operations on customer sites through Ecolab’s products and application concepts. You will work closely with customers to ensure effective implementation, optimize performance, and achieve agreed business targets.
In this role, you will collaborate with some of the region’s leading food, beverage, and dairy manufacturing customers, helping them maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and operational efficiency.
What You Will Do
Manage customer accounts within the assigned territory, ensuring exceptional hygiene performance, technical service delivery, and sustainable business growth.
Manage territory sales performance against targets, proactively identifying and converting growth opportunities while ensuring strong account profitability and receivables management.
Drive revenue growth by introducing innovative solutions, identifying upselling opportunities, and developing new business within existing and prospective customer networks.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including plant management, operational leaders, and executive decision-makers.
Maintain accurate records of customer activities, business opportunities, and action plans through CRM and internal reporting system
Deliver technical consultation and support, ensuring customer hygiene requirements are effectively addressed and aligned with agreed Service Level Commitments (SLCs).
Work closely with current and prospective customers to understand business needs and provide solutions and recommendations for improvements to CIP/COP cleaning practices and procedures on the customer plant.
Lead problem-solving initiatives by conducting system assessments, interpreting technical data, and implementing corrective actions to improve customer performance and operational reliability.
Conduct regular business reviews with customers, providing performance reporting, forecasting, opportunity pipelines, and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, supply chain, and technical teams to deliver comprehensive customer solutions.
Build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, customer plant operations and business objectives, and applicable government regulations.
Follow Ecolab safety guidelines and incident reporting requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
BSc/MSc in Food Science & Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of working experience in technical sales ideally in a multinational company.
Industry related experience in Food & Beverage (CIP/COP cleaning for brewing, beverage, dairy, membrane processing etc.) will be considered a strong advantage.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts effectively.
Very good knowledge of English language (verbal & written communication).
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially excel.
High level of flexibility required. Willingness and ability to travel frequently to customer sites and production facilities.
Must have a valid driver's license.
