The Category Manager, reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager Europe, will be responsible for direct materials assigned categories of Actuation Technologies BU in Europe, to develop and deploy company strategies to deliver outstanding Supply Chain performances, in terms of speed, reliability, cost and quality.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Settle Sourcing strategy to grant Supply Chain targets (speed, cost, risk management, cash and quality);
- Develop the suppliers panel to set up partnerships, preferred or on demand supply agreements;
- Develop new suppliers, also partnering with Global Category Managers and/or with partners from other world areas;
- Source new materials for new product development initiatives;
- Develop sourcing activities according to main projects needs, aligned with project sourcing engineer indications;
- Analyze and negotiate terms and conditions of commercial offers;
- Identify areas of potential cost reduction and scout new and better solutions and/or technologies;
- Lead risk management and supplier relationship initiatives;
- Lead tooling, assets and investments;
- Work closely with involved departments (Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Material Management) to improve overall Supply Chain processes;
- Ensure compliance with Company guidelines and Sourcing policies and procedures;
- Collaborate with Operation on the Make Vs Buy strategy
You are an accountable person with a strategic mindset, comfortable in managing complex scenarios, with excellent communication skills and able to build constructive relationships with your stakeholders.
- Technical or Business Bachelor Degree;
- 5 + years of Purchasing and Material Management experience with high technical contents;
- Strong experience in buy out parts with a wide market knowledge;
- Experience in “tailor made” industrial business;
- Proficient in English
- SAP solid understanding;
- Deep knowledge of following categories: Gasket and Sealings, Gearboxes and Fasteners;
