If you are a Quality Management professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you to join our Power & Water Solutions (PWS) business unit. This position ensures that the PWS Business Unit remains aligned with internal Quality Management System, Policies, and Objectives, while adhering to the external ISO 9001 Standard. This position executes and maintains quality workplace initiatives for business improvement including internal audit program, cross-departmental communication, root cause analysis and continual improvement efforts.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Manage the internal Quality SharePoint site for communication of procedures, documents and records. Examples of communication you will handle include: interim procedures, records flow schedules, new audit reports, annual audit schedule, and Corrective Action Reports (CARs)
  • Act as point of contact for all Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs) with supplier organizations. Create the publication of customer Knowledge Based Articles (KBA) and Issues Under Investigation (IUI) related to quality issues.
  • Offer support as needed to internal audits team. Recruit and train new auditors to participate in future audits.
  • Attend monthly Software Change Control Boarding (SCCB) meetings and advise on IUI status. Represent Quality priorities in cross-departmental meetings, including, for example, New Product Development (NPD) Gate Reviews, PWS Hardware Warranty meetings, PWS Customer Disruptive Events, Cost of Quality, and Hardware Change Control Board (HCCB) to ensure new hardware or hardware changes are properly implemented within our business.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical / Process Technology) or similar technical program, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10 years of experience in a product-based, solutions-focused business, focusing on resolving domestic and international customer satisfaction issues
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to network and develop relationships across the organization
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Quality Assurance certification, such as Six Sigma, ASQ Quality Management, or ISO Auditor Certification
  • Experience with process control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA) as applied in process or utility industries (chemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, power and water, refining, etc.), preferred
  • Experience with leading and/or participating in internal and customer audits
  • Experience in hardware or software development and testing, project execution or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience in Automation Technology and familiarity with Process Automation Industry
  • Keen ability for problem solving and leading issue investigations to drive continuous improvements
