JOB SUMMARY:
The Continuous Improvement Project Coordinator plays a key administrative role in supporting and leading continuous improvement (PE) projects within our manufacturing facility. The role involves coordinating with Project Managers, facilitating meetings, maintaining communication boards, and ensuring that project outcomes and updates are communicated effectively to all relevant stakeholders. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to sustaining and following up on past projects.
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Coordinate with Project Managers: Work closely with Project Managers to provide administrative support and direction for continuous improvement projects. Assist in planning and scheduling project activities.
- Lead PE Projects: Take the lead on specific PE projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet the desired outcomes as per the Project Funnel.
- Facilitate Monthly PE Project Status Update Meetings: Organize and facilitate monthly meetings to update stakeholders on the status of ongoing PE projects. Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.
- Maintain and Post Communication Boards: Regularly update communication boards with information on upcoming PE events and projects. Ensure that all relevant information is clearly displayed and accessible to employees.
- Communicate and Post Outcomes of PE Events: Share the results and outcomes of PE events with the broader organization through various communication channels.
- Communicate with Management/Supervision: Keep management and supervisory teams informed about the progress and results of PE projects. Prepare and present reports as needed.
- Follow-Up and Sustaining of Past Projects: Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of past projects, ensuring that improvements are sustained over time.
- Maintain PE Project Documentation: Organize and maintain accurate documentation for all PE projects, including project plans, status reports, and final results.
FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the manufacturing facility for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs. as needed.
- This position operates in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and machinery.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Primarily an office environment within a manufacturing facility.
- Occasional exposure to the production floor, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
