In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Contribute to the development of business plans and budgeting. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating effective strategies for project execution, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Handle complex business problems associated with project delivery and customer expectations. You will be the driving force behind overcoming challenges and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Plan, delegate and review the execution of multiple simultaneous projects within margin targets. Your leadership skills will enable us to successfully compete in the market.
  • Maintain revenue and gross profit from project activities to budget. Your strict adherence to financial targets will contribute to the financial success of our projects.
  • Handle interface to all local financial functions and regional PMO functions. Your strong communication and collaboration skills will ensure smooth coordination between different departments.

Business:

As the Manager of Projects, you will be responsible for all aspects of project performance for our business. You will provide accurate and timely project forecasting data, ensuring that our projects stay on track. Your ability to analyse financial data will be crucial in achieving our budget and forecast revenue and margin targets. Additionally, you will establish strong partnerships with key customers at the management level, contributing to sales proposals and closing orders for complex solutions.

Leadership/Change:

In this role, you will drive process improvement activities and ensure alignment to our Project Management Office (PMO) processes. As a mentor, you will play a vital role in the development of your direct reports, helping them grow both professionally and personally. As the Line Manager to 8-12 Project Managers, you will provide guidance and support to ensure their success. Your understanding of the most cost-efficient and effective approaches to driving customer projects will be crucial in meeting our business goals.

Who You Are:

Your ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with the team will be crucial in this position as you assist in customer negotiations regarding project activity. You will be responsible for identifying the necessary skills and capabilities needed by the project management team to meet future business needs, ensuring we have the appropriate talent in place. Creating a supportive and collaborative environment for successful team dynamics is highly valued, and as a valued member of the UK senior management team, you will have the chance to make a meaningful contribution. In certain instances, you may also act as the main point of contact for the customer on vital business projects.

For this Role, You will Need:

  • Candidates who possess a degree in Engineering or have equivalent practical experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience in project management and a supervisory/leadership position will be extremely valuable.
  • The ability to successfully handle multiple intricate customer projects and extensive experience in direct customer interactions are indispensable qualifications for this position.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Further education in business administration, operations, or project management is desirable. Your additional knowledge in these areas will give you a competitive edge.
