Job Description

Emerson is hiring for Maintenance Technician positions at our Brenham, TX location – all positions include full benefits and competitive pay! In this role, you will be responsible for solving problems with production equipment and performing preventative tasks. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have proven good safety and quality efforts, this role is for you.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Works in a production environment with Safety as the primary goal. Practices safe work habits wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all tasks.
  • Troubleshoots problems with production equipment.
  • Performs intermediate preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment.
  • Follows engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams and manuals to understand, diagnose issues and repair production equipment.
  • Basic understanding of soldering.
  • Uses hand tools, including drilling, measuring tools, taps and presses.
  • Works with maintenance tracking software
  • Works as part of a team learning to support all areas of production. Is flexible in moving between production areas based on business need.
  • Possesses a basic knowledge of automation and robotics.
  • Possesses knowledge of basic computer programs including Microsoft Windows and Office.
  • Demonstrates:
    • Intermediate repair knowledge
    • Intermediate laser knowledge
    • Basic troubleshooting skills
    • Basic mechanical and electrical skills
  • Provides production support and assembles work stations.
  • Works with DVMs (Digital Volt Meters).
  • Communicates with outside vendors for service, troubleshooting or repairs.
  • Basic programming of PLCs and Micro Controllers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • 1800 hours of technical education or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of related experience
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to stand for 80% of the shift
  • Frequently move equipment and products weighing up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility.
  • Previous Rosemount Inc. experience.

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday (3:30pm - 2:00am)
