The successful Digital sales engineer is a driven individual with a passion for sales and technology, who excels in a remote and connected digital environment. The Digital Sales Engineer is responsible for growing sales within a dedicated territory, through the assigned accounts as well as generating business from new accounts, collaborating with the marketing team to complete targeted sales campaigns to defined segments and partners.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Territory management. Use digital tools to remotely engage with existing and potential customers in the territory, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
- Prospecting & new customer acquisition. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through digital channels expanding our customer base within targeted industry segments.
- Sales campaign deployment. Work closely with the marketing team implementing sales campaigns aimed at specific industries and customer segments. Introduce new products and solutions to existing customers.
- Product knowledge. Obtain in-depth knowledge of the products and solutions for each sales campaign and be able to effectively persuade and communicate the value proposition to customers.
- Hunter mentality. Demonstrate persistence and determination in overcoming obstacles and securing sales. Don't take "no" for an answer.
- Relationship building. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through consistent follow-up and excellent customer service.
- Collaboration. Orchestrate the support of domain experts, product or solutions expert or other company collaborators to create a compelling and differentiating value proposition for the selected customers.
- Price. Realize price through using the portfolio creating customer value. Close deals with a sense of urgency whilst ensuring the best possible price.
- Digital tools proficiency: Use CRM systems, sales automation tools (e.g. Salesloft), and digital marketing platforms (e.g. IIR, Zoominfo, LinkedIn) to find opportunity, enhance sales efforts, improve return and track performance.
- Reporting & analysis: Provide regular reports on sales activities, campaign effectiveness, and market feedback to the sales manager.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in consultative selling and the ability to explain sophisticated technical products in a simplified manner.
- Strong understanding of the industrial automation and instrumentation market, including sensors, measurement devices, and control systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and achievement of sales goals.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, site visits, and industry events
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Familiarity with Emerson's products and solutions is a plus.
- Experience in selling to industries such as oil & gas, chemical, manufacturing, or energy sectors.
- Digital sales or e-commerce experience in industrial products is advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales role, preferably in industrial automation or instrumentation.
- Power BI knowledge or experience.
