If you are an expert Engineering Manager, Emerson has an excellent opportunity for you! Based in our world-class Stafford, TX facility, you will lead a technical group that provides engineering support for all aspects of the Pressure Relief Valves to ensure product functionality, quality, cost, schedule, and industry leadership.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Verify product line designs align with industry standards, customer requirements, and engineering principles, ensuring alignment to company policies.
- Lead product line extensions, improvements, cost reductions, and rationalizations to maintain technical leadership and competitiveness.
- Maintain the Product Engineering database, including drawings, reports, bills of materials, and documents vital for product design, manufacturing, and testing, ensuring quality requirements are specified.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and evaluate the work of Engineers and Designers, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet requirements.
- Lead a local/global engineering team (3-10 personnel), ensuring accurate training and clarity of roles and responsibilities.
- Provide technical support to Sales/Marketing, customers, and the Product Manager to meet technical needs and facilitate product application and design leadership.
- Offer support to Manufacturing, Quality, and vendors, ensuring all quality requirements are met in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Prepare monthly reports for upper management on project status, budget performance, and other concerns.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering degree
- 8+ years of experience in engineering design, evaluation, and application
- 5+ years of supervisory/managerial experience, preferably in an engineering environment
- Demonstrated strengths in fluid dynamics and extensive knowledge and experience in fluid flow
- 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of machining methodologies and practices
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Experience in mechanical design, pumps, valves, regulators, and actuators
- 8+ years of experience in a metal cutting environment
- Detailed knowledge of Codes and Standards used in the PRV industry
