Job Description

Job Summary

This position is the leader and responsible for managing the supply chain team in Qingpu Plant.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

1.Supply Chain Strategy:

a) Manage and supervise the sourcing strategy according to requirements from internal & external customers.

b) Establish commodity team annual plan and key matrix goals to meet department target.

c) Provide any support needed for team members to achieve goals.

d) Regularly evaluate supplier performance of quality, lead time, RDSL and so on, make or adjust the strategy and policy of supplier development with SQE team according to the company benefit.

e) Make annual budget for cost containment/inflation, capex and expense.

f) Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers.

g) Ensure that supply chain practices align with established policies, procedures, and ethical principles.

2.People Management:

a).A Commodity Group Team Leader will lead a group of Commodity Manager, Sourcing Engineers and Supplier Quality Engineers. Responsibilties are as followings:

a-1). Monitor & drive their team to complete projects on time and meet goals and coordinate resources among team members

a-2). Provide mentorship and support to team members to complete their assignments optimally.

a-3). Supervise the SQE to ensure suppliers quality issues are accurately analyzed and corrective actions are timely and effective to prevent re-occurrence.

b) Set up the standard procedures of supply chain management.

c) Make performance assessments and set up team development plan.

d) Give training and coaching, cultivate potential talents and develop career of team members.

3.Others

a) Maintain effective interaction with all departments/management to identify potential opportunities and enhance working relationships.

b) Obtain vital resources for the team members and enhance their value to ensure proper project achievement.

c) Perform related work as apparent or assigned by Supply Chain Manager, China.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Metallurgic/Material /Manufacturing is preferred.
  • At least 10-years products sourcing experience, regarding Die Casting, Sand Casting, Stamping, Machining, Springs, Molded Rubber, Custom Molded Plastics in multinational companies.
  • People management experience is at least 1 year.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Outspoken, ambitious, confident, flexible, and compressive.
  • Good command of English (written/oral), can organize and lead the meetings and freely discuss the business issues and disagreement with suppliers and workmates from other countries, can present the projects in English.
  • Good command of PC, be good at Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Willing to travel frequently

  • Authority Knowledge of is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, self-motivated.
  • Possess good problem-solving abilities, with lots of initiative and drive.
  • Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Presentation skill is preferred.
