Job Description
The Flow Lifecycle Service Proposal Engineer II (PE II) supports advanced (Tier 2+, LTSA, and multi-BU spare parts) quotations for Parts and Service proposals. This role ensures technical and commercial compliance with customer requirements, work scopes, and applications. The PE II also trains new Proposal Engineers, develops training materials, and provides backup support for basic quotations (T0/T1) and order entry. The objective is to optimize quote-to-cash service levels by delivering timely and quality support to internal and external customers.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
- Process customer requests for advanced quotes (T2+, LTSA, multi-BU spare parts).
- Upload, review, and ensure completeness of RFQs/proposals in business systems.
- Validate technical conformance (model options, configurations, documentation, device compatibility).
- Perform accurate sizing and generate quotes in business systems.
- Collaborate with service technicians, support teams, and subject matter experts to resolve issues and validate requirements.
- Follow up with customers on proposals, clarifying questions and confirming purchase order status.
- Approve spare parts quotations for the proposal team.
- Maintain customer records and ensure compliance with documentation and retention policies.
- Ensure adherence to commercial policies, import/export regulations, contracts, and government requirements.
- Provide backup support to Proposal Engineers and Order Management to maintain service levels.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by updating processes, documents, and tools.
- Conduct product, process, and tools training for new hires, and develop/refine training materials.

You are a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional who ensures accuracy and timeliness in proposals. You enjoy working collaboratively across teams, adapt quickly to new tools and processes, and have a passion for learning technical products and solutions. You demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
For this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree (or advanced student) in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
- 1–2 years of experience in customer service, data entry, or related roles.
- 0–1 year of customer service experience within the Flow/Emerson organization.
- Strong proficiency in Windows and MS Office applications.
- English level B2 (Upper Intermediate) with strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work North America shift schedules.
Preferred qualifications that set you apart:
- 2–3 years of customer service, data entry, or technical product support experience in a B2B environment.
- Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric organizations with strong teamwork culture.
- Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and stay organized under pressure.
- Self-starter with aptitude for technical topics.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in close team settings.
