Test Engineer

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Safety First: Protect system users by identifying hazards, engineering safeguards, creating
safe procedures, and defining necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Design, develop and implement production test hardware and software.
Standardize product quality test processes across all manufacturing sites globally.
Simplify, Standardize and Automate manufacturing test processes.
Work with global Design Engineering groups on Design for Testability (DFT).
Integrate test processes with factory MES systems.
Conceptualize product test needs to build BOM for complex test systems.
Configure server and network infrastructure required for test processes.
Stay ahead of innovative technologies and Champion Industry Best Practices.
Mentor other technicians on products and processes. Guide troubleshooting efforts when
raised.
Drive appropriation of funds and procure material by placing orders with vendors.
Develop, write, maintain system documentation, and train operators on working level
documents and standing instructions as required.
Perform capacity analysis for production work cells to determine test needs. Make
recommendations on production processes.
Identify programmable devices in products and define processes for programming them.
Work with Quality engineers and technicians on customer quality issues and failure
analysis to put processes in place to prevent future escapes.
Provide technical expertise to address complex problems
Develop and drive digitization tools to give partners information needed to make good and
timely decisions.
Define and maintain automated data capture on all test equipment for quality analysis
and traceability.
Navigate PC/software as required.
Finish all assigned training and maintain any certifications as required including Electrical
Safety training and quality IPC Level 2.
For This Role, You Will Need:
Strong knowledge of electronics. Associate degree in electronics or equivalent.
5-10 years of experience in electronics manufacturing with some knowledge of
manufacturing methods, procedures, processes, and test techniques.
Demonstrated problem-solving expertise.
Familiarity with engineering practices and the interpretation of drawing and
specifications.
Demonstrated communication/interpersonal/personal computer literacy. Ability to work
well with co-workers and external customers.
Computer programming experience (E.g., Delphi, C/C++, VB, python, Ladder Logic, XML,
HTML, SQL, CSS, and Linux bash scripts etc.).
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Ability to distinguish colors.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Bachelor’s degree in electronics or computer science.
Working knowledge of CAD, SAP, and Agile.
