Tactical Purchasing Specialist II

- Manage purchasing operations for domestic and international components, ensuring timely procurement and coordination.
- Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives by aligning internal resources and strategies.
- Foster strong supplier relationships to support long-term collaboration and performance.
- Oversee purchase orders and inventory using SAP and PFEP principles, ensuring data accuracy and inventory stability.
- Drive value through strategic purchasing initiatives, Lean implementation, and mentoring team members.
- Resolve accounts payable issues efficiently and manage KPIs using Power BI and advanced Excel tools.
- Support all daily purchasing functions as needed to maintain operational excellence.

- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Requires knowledge of fundamental concepts of production planning, inventory, scheduling, forecasting and lean principles as they apply to purchasing
- Import/Export knowledge is required.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work multi-dimensionally in a complex business matrixed environment
Ability to influence upward, peer-wide, and downward
Strong managerial courage, assertiveness and ability to work through resistance to change
Self- driven personality; High attention to detail required
High level of integrity
Ability to deal with different levels of the organization; must be able to effectively communicate to a diverse group of stakeholders
Proficient with ERP systems (prefer SAP) along with intermediate to advanced excel skills
- Bachelor’s degree with preferred 5+ years purchasing experience in manufacturing environment. CPM a plus.
- International procurement experience preferred
- Inventory experience preferred.
- Progressive Import/Export knowledge a plus.
