About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Facilities and EHS Manager to support all initiatives related to environment, health, and safety across our operations. Your mission will be to foster a strong safety culture and ensure a secure workplace for employees, contractors, and visitors.

In this role, your responsibilities will be

  • Provide technical and administrative support to implement, manage, and monitor EHS programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local regulations and organizational standards.

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, procedures, and equipment to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.

  • Lead the emergency response brigade and actively support the Occupational Health and Safety Committee.

  • Champion the organization’s 12 Life-Saving Behaviors and deliver engaging safety training programs.

  • Oversee waste management processes and ensure compliance with corporate and local requirements.

  • Incident Investigation thoroughly, ensuring accurate documentation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective measures.

  • Implement, update, and maintain the Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plan in alignment with corporate standards.

  • Train employees and contractors on Job Safety Assessments to strengthen workplace safety practices.

  • Define objectives, strategies, initiatives, and training programs to ensure a safe and secure work environment.

  • Continuously review, evaluate, and update regulatory requirements related to EHS, ensuring applicability to current operations.

  • Plan and execute EHS-related projects in accordance with company standards and procedures.

  • Manage the ergonomic program, ensuring proper documentation, planning, and compliance.

  • Ensure accurate reporting of incidents, metrics, and KPIs within the Velocity EHS Management System.

  • Provide oversight and quality control for incident investigations, reviewing corrective actions and validating implementation.

  • Cascade regional and corporate objectives, establish annual local goals, and monitor performance against targets.

  • Organize and deliver safety training programs that meet corporate and local regulatory requirements, fostering a sustainable safety culture.

  • Prepare and present monthly management reports aligned with organizational standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including HR, Workplace Services, Medical Services, Engineering, and Customer Care—to develop action plans that strengthen the safety culture.

  • Uphold and promote organizational values, including integrity, safety and quality, continuous improvement, customer focus, collaboration, innovation, and support for our people.

You are an effective communicator across diverse settings, whether one-on-one, in small groups, or large audiences. You are adaptable, with the ability to tailor approaches to different situations. You are goal-oriented, aligning objectives with broader organizational priorities. You are a team player who fosters collaboration and enables others to achieve shared goals.

For this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, and Environment (Occupational Health).

  • English proficiency at B2 level.

  • Strong knowledge of local EHS regulations.

  • Experience in contractor management.

  • 3–5 years of experience in similar roles.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
