Engineer/ Senior Engineer Projects

- Coordinate and own several projects during pursuit and execution phases as well
- Collaborate with different groups (Global Project Pursuit/Global Industry Sales, Regional Sales office, Order Administration, Engineering, Drafting, , Specification Analyst, Project Procurement, Manufacturing & Intercompany project management) throughout the quote to Cash cycle of the project.
- Lead the negotiation of the initial scope of the project, change orders, progress payments, understand commercial terms and conditions and all additions or expansions to the project with the Customer, Impact Partners/Regional Sales Office and Global Industry Sales personnel.
- Quote and own the Lead-Time and Comments to the Manufacturing Specs during the pursuit phase
- Approve the lead-time commitment, especially during negotiations
- Approve any deviations to the Comments to the Manufacturing Specs and understand comments to the Commercial T&C’s, Legal T&C’s ,Bank Guarantees and Technical Product Specifications.
- Participate in joint project review/discussion with the pursuit team
- Understand and keep updated on the basic product designs , manufacturing process, quality systems, product selection & sizing tools, International design, testing & NDE standards.
- Quote and own the Lead-Time and Comments to the Manufacturing Specs during the pursuit phase
- Lead internal and external communication meetings at End User / EPC locations/countries, intercompany locations to ensure alignment on project schedule & execution plan
- Lead the Customer Post Award meeting (or Pre-PO meeting) with end users / EPCs when the order is committed to Emerson
- Lead the Internal Kick-off Meeting with Virtual Project Teams and resource Engineers to resolve all open issues and provide clarity to the Execution Plan
- Coordinate the Pre Inspection meeting with the end user’s Inspector, EPC QC team, TPIs and achieve clarity to the inspection requirements and process.
- Work with Internal Stakeholders to develop the overall Project Plan that includes schedules, milestones, procurement strategy, execution strategy, financial targets, resources, communications and considerations of risks.
- Ensure the project team is aligned with project plan & conduct regular progress reviews meetings with them
- Ensure alignment with the Customer on the ACT Commitment Dates and the Customer PO Dates including milestone dates for drawing and procedure submittals, drawing and procedures approvals, equipment inspection notifications, and “Ready for Inspection” dates.
- Interface and continuously communicate with the Customer, Contractor and End User throughout the life of the project to provide updates, milestones, and progress.
- Excellent listening skills and relationship-building
- Excellent presentation and digital capabilities (MS Office, Power BI)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage ambiguities, Planning & Aligning, Collaborating with different teams, Courage in decisions.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering
- Experience in Control Valves, Isolation Valves, Actuators and controls, field preferred.
5 - 8 years experience in customer facing Project Management role, Inside Sales, & Application Engineering or relevant roles
- PMP Certification or equivalent is preferred.
- PMP Tools like Primavera, MS Projects

The Project Engineer should be capable of handling large and medium size projects destined for mainly Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power, Metals & Mining industries. The candidate should be able to handle the complete execution cycle of the project, including techno commercial support during project pursuit phase. The Project Engineer has the overall responsibility and authority for the implementation and execution of Customer projects as per the Emerson Actuation PMO process. This includes having a complete understanding of the project scope (technical & commercial) and requirements and having ownership for timely approvals, timely delivery, profitability, price uplift and final hand off. The Project Engineer has responsibility for developing the Project Plan and is responsible to the Customer, the Contractor, and the Company for overall success and execution of the project. This job is based in EIMC Talegaon and will be responsible for projects in ACT Talegaon.
