Application Support Engineer

As an Application Support Engineer, you will provide technical and functional expertise in designing, planning, testing, and implementing high-quality IT systems and applications. You will play a key role in supporting and developing solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while contributing to Emerson’s strategic IT direction and digital transformation initiatives.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Provide ongoing production support for applications and interfaces, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis and issue resolution.
Lead or participate in small to medium system implementation projects using Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
Assist with technical requirements definition, impact analysis, and implementation planning.
Design test scripts, perform unit testing, validate results, and provide technical sign-off.
Maintain existing software solutions and interfaces between applications, ERP systems, and other relevant software.
Support database maintenance, application development, and implementation activities.
Create and maintain documentation for software applications and technical processes.
Perform analysis on business systems, data, and technical issues, providing guidance in change management.
Communicate effectively with suppliers, project teams, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
Collaborate with contractors to ensure timely and quality delivery of software and services.

For This Role, You Will Need:
Minimum 3 years of experience in IT systems/applications analysis or support roles.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or IT discipline.
Knowledge of object-oriented programming (C#, .NET), Microsoft SQL and ERP systems.
Exposure to digital transformation trends (Cloud, API platforms, RPA, Analytics).
Fluent English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Familiarity with Oracle, Azure and API platforms.
Other European languages are an advantage.
