We are looking for a resourceful Tooling Design Engineer I will be responsible for designing and developing production tooling (fixtures, gauges, and other equipment) and providing engineering support for manufacturing processes. You will focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting the implementation of new products and technologies.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Design and develop production tooling, fixtures, gauges, and other equipment, using parametric CAD software;

  • Analyze requirements and create designs that meet functionality, safety, and manufacturing standards;

  • Troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions;

  • Provide engineering support for production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with standards;

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new products and processes from concept to completion;

  • Prepare technical specifications for suppliers and manage technical relationships;

  • Ensure proper ordering of materials, components, and consumables for tooling and production needs;

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and apply Lean Manufacturing principles;

  • Participate in audits and ensure adherence to quality management systems.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or Electronics);

  • 3+ years of experience in tooling design and/or production engineering in a manufacturing environment;

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently;

  • Fluent English proficiency (written and spoken);

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (advantage).

This is (initially) a temporary contract for 12 months, full-time 40 hours per week, 5 days per week on site at our Ede office (hybrid working is not possible for this role).
