In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Manage, control, and distribute workload among the site team.

  • Collaborate with planning, logistics, and manufacturing teams to resolve supply issues at the assigned site.

  • Monitor supplier performance and work with underperforming suppliers to drive improvement, coordinating with Sourcing Specialists to achieve on-time delivery goals.

  • Act as the escalation point for critical material shortages, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal operational impact.

  • Engage regularly with executive stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence.

  • Control and manage departmental resources assigned by the company.

  • Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) to enable effective decision-making, issue resolution, and cross-functional communication.

  • Maintain continuous collaboration with IPO leadership teams to align strategies, support global initiatives, and achieve business goals.

  • Facilitate communication between the manufacturing site and IPO teams to synchronize material requirements and delivery timelines.

  • Define and execute strategic procurement plans to ensure uninterrupted material supply.

  • Propose, establish, monitor, and lead initiatives to improve key procurement performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Promote, implement, and document improvement proposals through the Business Improvement Proposals System (BIP) and other authorized channels.

  • Support additional activities assigned that relate to departmental operations.

  • Ensure global alignment with inventory control processes to meet Inventory Turnover (ITO) objectives.

  • Analyze inventory metrics, identify excess and obsolete materials, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions to optimize inventory performance.

  • Develop and maintain strong expertise in Oracle and lead initiatives to maximize system utilization.

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all supply chain systems under responsibility.

  • Support and participate in activities that maintain the effectiveness of the Quality System.

  • Ensure adherence to environmental, safety, and regulatory standards in all site purchasing activities

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Administration

  • 5 years or more of seniority in supervision/leadership level in procurement or planning areas.

  • English: 90%

The Site Purchasing Superintendent leads and manages a high-performance team of buyers to ensure the timely supply of direct materials and the efficient control of inventory for the Flow Technologies production lines. The role also oversees external services related to raw materials and the administration of Free Stock items, which—due to their permanent import status—are recommended to be processed through the corresponding Oracle instance. A key responsibility is to act as the Point of Contact between the assigned plants and Emerson’s international purchasing offices (IPOs).
