With broad experience in the processing industry and automation projects related to Systems and Software Solutions, you will play a key role in accelerating business growth with new prospects, primarily in the Power Industry. In this position, you will leverage your industry relationships, technical proficiency, and strategic business perspective to develop and sustain strong partnerships across client organizations, engaging stakeholders from engineering teams to the C-suite.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop Territory Strategy – Understand market needs and create plans to drive order growth and profitability.

  • Engage Customers – Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers across engineering and executive levels.

  • Position Solutions – Identify customer challenges and propose Emerson’s automation and DCS solutions effectively.

  • Drive Customer Interaction – Conduct regular in-person visits, technical presentations, and workshops to promote Emerson’s value proposition.

  • Lead Negotiations – Manage commercial discussions on pricing, discounts, and terms within Delegation of Authority.

  • Collaborate Internally – Work with sales support teams to develop winning proposals and strategies.

  • Manage Pipeline – Maintain accurate opportunity tracking in CRM and provide reliable forecasts.

  • Ensure Compliance – Operate with integrity, following company ethics and Trade Compliance procedures.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS); familiarity with Ovation is a strong plus.

  • Experience in sales roles within industrial process automation, with a solid understanding of automation systems and the ability to communicate technical concepts confidently.

  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.

  • Fluent in Italian and English.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across Northern & Central Italy; ideally based in Northern Italy for easier customer coverage and training.

  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience in the Power & Energy sector (generation plants, OEM/EPC, or related environments).

  • Knowledge of major DCS platforms beyond Ovation (e.g., DeltaV, PCS 7, 800xA, Experion).

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and collaborate across multiple business units.

  • Familiarity with OEM/EPC project environments and end-user engagement strategies.

  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop territory growth plans.

  • Multilingual communication skills and experience working in international, cross-cultural environments.
