In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Management of an enterprise LAN, Wireless LAN, Telephony services and associated equipment
- Ensuring optimal use and maximizing efficiency of LAN & Wireless LAN equipment installed at sites, as well as telephony services, as defined in the service design and according to the agreed SLA
- Working closely with the design team and transition team to ensure all operational aspects are included in created solutions, while maintaining continuous service improvement
- Providing Tier 3 support for all LAN, Wireless LAN, and Telephony infrastructure. This includes formal service-level agreements across multiple sites and countries, in various regions of the world, including non-Emerson sites (acquisitions)
- Ensuring proper escalation of tickets and managing them from initial triage to resolution, acting as the interface between the client and other IT groups or vendors when necessary
- Participating in formal service reviews with the design team, transition team, service delivery team, and other relevant stakeholders
- Providing training for the local IT team and new team members when required
- Taking over LAN/Wireless LAN/Telephony service support for newly implemented sites from the LAN/Telephony Provisioning team and ensuring all necessary documentation is present and complete
- Reviewing documentation and equipment configurations at existing sites that are non-compliant and correcting them according to LAN/Wireless LAN/Telephony service standards. In rare cases, travel to the affected site may be required
- During equipment refresh or integration, creating and documenting LAN/Wireless LAN/Telephony equipment configurations, bill of materials, and network topology for selected Emerson sites, in partnership with the design team
- Ensuring all existing LAN/Wireless LAN/Telephony equipment adheres to the standard configuration, with any deviations documented or eliminated as appropriate
- Execute iOS upgrades, complying to the versions recommended by the associated design team, to ensure all devices run official vendor supported versions
- Assisting with planning and installation of hardware, following the hardware lifecycle process and implementation procedures as defined in Service Design
- Ensuring LAN/Wireless LAN/Telephony equipment, central tools, and any configurations allow restoration or recovery in case of disaster within a timeframe compatible with the service-level agreement
- Extract and review data within logging tools to proactively address potential problems
- Assist with keeping all LAN/Wireless LAN/Telephony operating procedures and documentation up to date
- Maintaining a high level of security for all LAN/Wireless LAN/Telephony equipment, including but not limited to running vendor-supported versions, physically securing devices, and managing and monitoring access to devices and software
- Assisting the IT & BMO team in managing maintenance contracts, ensuring all active LAN equipment is properly supported and maintained, and reporting dates when support is nearing expiration
- Participating in disaster recovery plan (DRP) tests and contributing to maintaining DRP processes at the highest standards, in collaboration with security, design, transition, and service delivery groups
- Creation and submission of Root Cause Corrective Action plans using standard templates
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Education to degree level or equivalent, but experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a LAN/Telephony management role, preferably in an Enterprise environment
- CCNA Routing and Switching certification or equivalent
- ITIL certification or equivalent awareness is beneficial
- Language knowledge: must be fluent in business English (speaking / writing )
- Knowledge of IP Telephony using Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Microsoft Teams Telephony
- Experience with technologies such as TCP/IP, QoS, 802.1x, enterprise switching, and routing
- Thorough understanding of DNS and DHCP services
- Knowledge of network equipment administration and configuration: Solar Winds, Cisco Catalyst Center, Ziro
- Microsoft Visio proficiency
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools
- Ability to document technical processes and procedures
- Willingness to travel for short periods of time
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- ITIL certification or equivalent awareness is beneficial
- Experience in working with geographically distributed teams
