Job Summary:
If you are a Material Planning specialist, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Material Planner to work for our India Pressure Management Business unit. You will ensure the right materials arrive on time to avoid factory operation delays or line stoppages. This gives you a very important role in helping drive growth platforms and supporting operational pillars while seeking for long-term value creation.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Active involvement with Master Planner along with Supply Chain team to optimize the Product Prospectus Leadtime based on Consumption and Forecast analysis.
- Review the newly scheduled orders for Leadtime alignment between Customer Request vs Supplier Delivery and Collaborate with Master Planner and Order Admin for alignment.
- Ensure Material Availability as per Need by date based on the Scheduled Ship Date of Customer Orders by ensuring end-to-end Purchase process.
- Ensure the Purchase Orders are released within 2 days of demand release and get the Order Acknowledgement from suppliers.
- Review the Open Purchase Orders with Buyers and Suppliers to meet Request Date Service Level above 95%.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and mitigate the challenges with respect to delivery of materials from suppliers and timely communication to Master Planner on recovery plan.
- Weekly and Monthly Reviews with Suppliers on Delivery Performance and Impacts on Service Levels.
- Quarterly review with Master Planner for Forecast update and review of Safety Stock and all the Planning Parameters to optimize the Number of Purchase Orders and Delivery Lead time based on ABCD Classification.
- Estimate the projected inventory and monitor the actual receipts and consumption to ensure inventory targets are achieved.
- Timely closure of ECNs and driving actions to allocate the inventory under Unallocated and reduce the Excess and Obsolescence Provisions in each quarter.
- Ensure the supplier invoices are processed and paid on time and resolve the issues for pending invoices.
- Monitor Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Module Exception reports and drive right actions against Supply and Delivery Impacts.
- People Management:
- Lead and mentor a high performing team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers the best results, made valuable contributions and continuous improvements.
- Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to forecast, plan and facilitate timely availability of material at site.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Liaise with cross function teams on product change requests and review and communicate the impact on material planning and schedules.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Achieve Supplier Delivery Service Level (RDSL) Targets.
- Ensure Materials are received within the Lead-times.
- Ensure Oracle system parameters are rightly updated and reviewed to meet Inventory Targets.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical field with minimum 10 plus years of demonstrated proficiencies required.
- Knowledge of Valve industry
- Good Analytical, Communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially in Excel, Power BI, Share point etc.
- Familiar with Oracle application of Betsy & Billy.
