- Monitor and drive on-time delivery of key commodities (castings, forging, fasteners, actuators, and related parts) across multiple active projects.
- Maintain and track expediting KPIs (open PO aging, on-time/late delivery, supplier responsiveness) and report status to project and procurement leadership.
- Proactively identify potential supplier delays, capacity constraints, or quality issues; coordinate rapid mitigation actions (alternate sources, schedule adjustments, expediting with suppliers).
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to confirm order acknowledgments, production progress, dock dates, and shipment readiness; resolve shipment documentation and logistics questions.
- Collaborate with Planning, Production, and Inventory teams to align material release plans with master schedules, and bill of materials.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate proactive lead-time improvements, and support supplier development initiatives to reduce risk and improve reliability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements (quality, safety, environmental, export controls) in all procurement and expediting activities.
- Document and maintain auditable records of expediting actions, communications, and decisions for project traceability.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Cooperative mindset with a customer-service orientation toward internal project teams and external suppliers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of effective collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and external suppliers.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools, as well as basics of logistics and import/export if applicable.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret schedules, capacity plans, and material requirements planning (MRP).
- Travel: 20–30% of work time, often tied to supplier visits, on-site assessments, or milestone audits. In some roles, it can be as low as 5% or as high as 50% during peak phases.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–7 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or expediting within manufacturing (experience with castings, forging, fasteners, or actuators is preferred).
- Proven track record in vendor management, lead-time reduction, and on-time delivery improvements.
- English fluency (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and handle pressure to meet critical deadlines.

As an Expediter in a long-term orientated project business, you will ensure on-time delivery and material availability for critical commodities e.g., castings, forging, fasteners, actuators, and other related components. You will work closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders (Planning, Operations, Quality), and project management teams to monitor order progress, identify risks, and implement proactive follow-up actions that keep project milestones and production schedules on track.
