Customer problems support
- Investigates Service Reports analysis (SR)
- Analyzes technical problems related to on site product or damaged parts.
- Occasionally goes on site to investigate problems and/or give a solution.
- Fills in expertise report.
- Proposes solutions considering the economic interest of customers and the one of Emerson.
- Ensures monitoring of corrective actions
- Gives instructions to after-sales services.

Lists spare parts to use.
Inspections
- Ensures technical support during customer inspection if necessary.

Define corrective actions together with the customer and the “customer service” of the plant.
Production Support - Decides on the rework, scrap or acceptance of parts affected by a Non Conformity (NC) and signs the statement.
- Ensures technical support to the European plants.
- Create ECRNs.
- Ensures implementation of ECRNs for his product portfolio.
- Is involved in new products launches on manufacturing site.
- Investigates solutions to reduce costs.
- Training
- Provides training on products to site employees, customers and sales department
- Supports new employee trainings for his product portfolio.
- Sales support
- Proposes or approves technical solutions at quotation stage.
- Provides technical support during meetings between sales department and customer.

Provides technical support for spare parts department.
Order Entry department support
- Verifies and approves new parts codification.

Verifies and approves the new manufacturing drawings.

- Creates or verifies calculation notes for his product portfolio. Example : PED files.
- You are action oriented, able to collaborates with others. You seek for drives results and have courage.
- Mechanical Engineer degree or equivalent (could be earn by experience).
- Additional knowledge in materials and/or automation.
- Ability to work in team, coordinate different people
- Proactivity and good communication skills
- Driving for results and leadership in solving problems
- Fluent in English.
About the position:
Fisher has 4 main Research & Development centers worldwide: Marshalltown (USA), Singapore, WuQing (China) and in Europe. They have a common database, CAD tools and Web access that allows them to work in close collaboration.
The Europe Engineering department is himself based on 2 sites: Székesfehérvár (Hungary), and Cernay (France) and has a test laboratory located in Cernay.
The engineering department missions are:
- Develop new products considering specific requirements of the European market.
- Develop special products tailor made for a customer order.
- To take part on EN/ISO standard & norms development and in their implementation in Fisher.
- Provide expertise and technical support on the existing products.
- Implement products upgrades decided by Business unit.
These activities related to existing products are an important part of the Engineering Department activities and are managed by the Product Engineers. The product engineer is in charge of solving technical problems considering price, quality and deadlines.
DELIVERIES:
A monthly activity report is submitted to the supervisor.
Travels and bill of expenses are approved by the hierarchy.
Technical solutions are validated by the hierarchy, especially when there are complex technical problems and/or involvement of legal responsibility.
Processes and work documents ruling and controlling the activity are corporate processes established in english and accessible on the internal network.

The product engineer is responsible of managing a product portofolio. He designs technical solutions for products upgrades decided by Business unit or after return of experience for his product portofolio. He provides support and technical expertise for his product portfolio to customers, sales department, marketing, order entry department, manufacturing, after-sales service and spare parts centers.
