In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Oversee and manage the shipping process to ensure timely delivery of goods

  • Plan and coordinate daily operations, including receiving, goods, warehouse put away, pick pack and ship, loading and unloading of trucks and scheduling of deliveries

  • Maintain accurate inventory control and monitor product quality and conditions

  • Train and supervise shipping staff, enforcing safety protocols and productivity standards

  • Communicate with vendors, carriers, and customers to ensure efficient coordination of shipments

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise, such as delays or damage to products in transit

  • Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs

  • Generate reports and maintain records of shipping activities and performance metrics

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including CTPAT, OEA, hazardous material handling and transportation laws.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in shipping and logistics, with a proven track record in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • BS degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or an equivalent degree.

  • Experience in the transportation industry and border-crossing

  • Knowledge of shipment regulations and procedures is a must

  • Excellent communication skills, both English and Spanish.

  • Excellent leadership skills for team management

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Detail-oriented and focused in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good understanding of shipping regulations, customs requirements, and best practices in logistics.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in performance metrics and process improvement methodologies.

  • Proficiency in shipping software and technologies, including ERP systems and tracking tools.

  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Proficiency in using transportation management systems

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in performance metrics and process improvement methodologies.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience with ERP systems and shipping software (e.g., Oracle, or similar).

  • Knowledge of international shipping procedures and regulations.

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for the end-to-end management and optimization of the company's shipping and logistics operations. This role ensures the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of all products, meeting both customer demands and service standards. The Supervisor manages the daily departmental operations and staff, coordinates efficiently with carriers and freight forwarders, and develops strategic logistics solutions. A core responsibility is ensuring strict compliance with all company policies and government regulations, maintaining accurate shipping documentation (invoices, customs paperwork), and analyzing data to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a background in logistics or transportation.
