Sr. Proposals Engineer - EPC

Optimize the EPC proposal process to improve consistency, accuracy, and turnaround time.
Participate in site walkdowns with potential vendors to gather information needed for competitive bids aligned with customer requirements.
Create and review Scope of Work (SOW) documents based on site walkdowns, industry knowledge, and process expertise.
Evaluate vendor bids to ensure accuracy and support best‑cost approaches while minimizing technical risk.
Partner with project teams to develop efficient outage plans, schedules, and labor strategies.
Manage and strengthen relationships with existing subcontractors while fostering connections with new vendors to enhance flexibility and options.
Foster relationships with future potential vendors to increase vendor flexibility and options.
Collaborate with Procurement teams on vendor qualification processes.
Assess regional labor requirements, prevailing wages, and project needs to support installation cost estimates.
Identify opportunities for termination reuse and other cost‑effective project strategies.
Ensure project scope, deliverables, and estimates reflect Emerson’s high standards for quality and integrity.

BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10 years of relevant experience, such as marketing or engineering with emphasis in control systems and/or process operation
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
- Knowledge of control systems such as PLC, DCS, or SCADA.
- Familiarity with the Emerson Ovation™ platform, including space, power, and grounding considerations.
- Experience developing cost estimates and writing technical proposals.
- Understanding of project labor requirements, subcontractor coordination, or field installation practices.

We are looking to add a Proposal Engineer for Power Projects to our Cranberry Township, PA office. You will be an essential part of the North America Power Projects Proposals organization as a proposal engineer leading “Engineer/Procure/Construct” (EPC) proposal support. This role will be supporting our Power and Water Solutions business.
