The Global New Product Marketing Leader, is a visionary leader responsible for setting the global strategy and execution for new product and solution marketing across all regions. This senior leadership role partners with executive leadership, World Areas, and key customers to drive innovation, market expansion, and sustainable business growth. The Leader champions cross-functional collaboration, aligning marketing, engineering, sales, and operations to deliver differentiated solutions that address critical customer needs. This role governs the new product development (NPD) process, ensures robust go-to-market strategies, and is accountable for the commercial success of new offerings worldwide.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing global team of product marketing and NPD managers across multiple regions, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement and succession planning.
- Set the vision and strategic direction for new product marketing, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market opportunities.
- Serve as a key member of the business unit’s leadership team, representing the function at executive and board-level meetings.
- Develop succession plans and talent pipelines to ensure organizational readiness for future growth.
B. Strategic Market Leadership
- Define and communicate the long-term vision for new product marketing and portfolio strategy.
- Oversee global market intelligence programs, competitive benchmarking, and identification of emerging trends and disruptive technologies.
- Engage with strategic partners and key customers to anticipate market shifts and inform product strategy.
- Lead the evaluation of adjacent markets, potential acquisitions, and strategic partnerships to accelerate growth.
- Own the roadmap for product AI, collaborating with cross-functional and cross-business unit teams to identify, develop, and implement innovative AI capabilities on our instruments and systems.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI to ensure the company maintains a competitive edge.
C. Market Needs & Customer Insight
- Oversee the development and execution of global market research, voice-of-customer programs, and customer advisory boards.
- Translate insights into actionable market requirements and compelling value propositions for current and future products.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, industry influencers, and channel partners.
- Approve and sponsor business cases for major new product initiatives.
D. New Product Development (NPD) Governance
- Govern the global NPD process, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, resource allocation, and investment priorities.
- Approve business plans, product requirements, and investment proposals for new products.
- Sponsor cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, on-budget, and on-quality product launches.
- Ensure robust stage-gate / agile and portfolio management processes are in place.
E. Product Launch & Commercialization
- Oversee global launch strategies, ensuring consistency and impact across all regions and channels.
- Partner with communications, PR, and sales enablement to maximize market visibility and adoption.
- Monitor and analyze business performance metrics, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Ensure post-launch reviews and lessons learned are integrated into future initiatives.
You provide clear strategic direction, motivating others by aligning sourcing objectives with the company’s overarching mission and values. You are a results-oriented leader with a proven track record of achieving financial targets, including savings, cost reductions, and working capital improvements, through effective sourcing strategies. You possess a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, including market trends and commodity pricing, and leverage this insight to make strategic decisions that enhance business performance. You inspire, lead, and develop high-performing teams fostering an environment of growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You build strong, cross-functional relationships with senior leaders, finance, engineering, and manufacturing teams to drive alignment on sourcing priorities and business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the process industries with experience in strategy, marketing, product management, or related fields.
- Experience influencing at the executive and board level.
- Deep knowledge of control valve and process instrumentation markets.
- Exceptional executive communication, strategic thinking, and change management skills.
- Proven ability to drive results in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Demonstrated success working with global teams and managing multi-million dollar product portfolios.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience at end customer sites, providing direct, real-world knowledge of process control systems and valve technologies within operational environments. Ability to translate field insights into actionable product strategies and innovation, ensuring solutions address actual market needs and practical challenges.
