Job Summary:

Emerson Automation Solutions’ Final Control Organization has a variety of smart technology product offerings that help control maintenance costs while enhancing performance and life expectancy of emergency shutdown, on/off, or control valves. The solutions available are many and are offered through the Final Control Organization’s four business verticals, Flow Controls, Pressure Management, Isolation Valves, Actuation Technologies and FLMC. In the Middle East & Africa (MEA) World Area, we are gearing ourselves up for new challenges and are therefore excited to announce the open role of IBT Data Analyst to be based at Chennai, India.

Your role will be to support the Lifecycle Service with Install Base (IB) Data Management tasks which would enable LCS team’s business development, analysis, and reporting. The IBT Data Analyst will be reporting to Lifecycle Services, & Digital Customer Experience, Manager, MEA.

And to participate in the department different business processes improvement that enables them to acquire and learn the Business Process Improvement methodologies and techniques. The job role involves supporting MEA IBT team in building, managing, & maintaining Install Base data, generating reports for standard spares, and identifying business opportunities. This role requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with technical documentation, and a proactive approach to data validation and organization

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Supporting MEA IBT team in managing Install Base data, including collection, collation, validation, and sourcing. (Site walkdown data, repair report collection, obsolescence mapping, Shipment, etc.)
  • Active database maintenance practices such as updating latest valve information, modifications, & obsolescence replacement data
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data, with proper data validation & cleaning practices.
  • Active monitoring of team mailbox to source additional data for IB tag and part information.
  • Standard RSPPL Generation Support and active organization & maintenance of spares database
  • Collecting latest repair report data, capturing key insights such as upgrade recommendations, critical notes, & other key observations.
  • Leveraging site walkdown tools to capture additional IB and supporting the uploading process of IB to the walkdown tool.
  • Maintain responsibility for transforming historical paper-based scanned serials into searchable digital archives (excel)
  • Facilitating the streamlining of laborious manual processes through the application of automated solutions.
  • Generating reports from single or multiple systems & ensuring proper collaboration with other departments in the organization.
  • Integrating current and future tools to streamline workflows and optimize effective data management

For this Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, and data handling.
  • Good understanding of Power Query for data transformation and cleaning.
  • Strong numerical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Working knowledge of Power BI (dashboard building, basic DAX preferable).

  • Experience with data validation, data cleansing, and data structuring.

  • Familiarity with process flows, data gathering, and continuous improvement principles (BPI).

  • Comfortable working with technical data, serials, parts lists, or equipment information (trainable).

  • Exposure to Power Apps (advantage but not required).

  • Knowledge of Excel Power Query, basic macros, or data automation tools is a plus.

  • Strong communication and crossfunctional collaboration skills
