If you are an electronics engineering student looking for an internship opportunity to work with the global Emerson Systems and Software organization, this is a stimulating opportunity for you! As the Electronics Engineer Intern, you will support hardware design activities, electrical evaluation, and documentation across ongoing engineering projects. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams involved in component selection, circuit evaluation, and design documentation.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Collaborating with hardware engineers to review circuit diagrams and evaluate electronic components for suitable substitutions
- Supporting board bring-up activities by performing basic electrical tests and documenting hardware verification results
- Assisting in reviewing library components in Altium and updating design documentation as required
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to technical discussions on hardware development topics
- Performing administrative and project-related coordination tasks when necessary

For This Role, You Will Need
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in electronics, electrical, or an equivalent field.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 480 hours; both required and voluntary interns are welcome.
- Basic understanding of electronic design principles and components
- Analytical mindset and flexibility when handling assigned activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
- Familiarity with Altium or similar PCB design tools
- Interest in circuit analysis, component evaluation, or hardware bring-up
- Willingness to learn testing workflows, documentation practices, and cross-functional collaboration
- Openness to supporting both technical and administrative tasks as part of project work
