In this position, you will lead the technical vision and architecture for our Measurement Solutions Lifecycle Services and Engineered Solutions portfolio across North America. You will develop cost-effective, technically differentiated engineered solutions that maximize Emerson’s portfolio and drive premium over the competition for customers in multiple industries.

This is a high-impact role where you will serve as a core member of pursuit teams, collaborating with global Centers of Excellence and sales channels to shape specifications, define system architectures, and deliver optimized engineered solutions.

Our engineered solutions portfolio includes custody transfer/fiscal metering systems, analytical process gas systems, continuous emissions monitoring systems, liquid analysis systems, and sustainability solutions. Lifecycle services cover digital engagements, annual recurring revenue contracts, upgrades, and “As-a-Service" business models.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Serve as part of the pursuit team for MSS opportunities by providing technical leadership to design cost-effective engineered solutions that maximize Emerson’s portfolio and differentiate from competitors.

  • Lead technical engagement with customers, EPCs, and end users early in project stages to influence specifications and architect solutions around Emerson’s analytical, metering, and lifecycle portfolios.

  • Understand project requirements and specifications to optimize scope, architecture, risk posture, and cost structures while meeting customer objectives.

  • Provide technical advice in the design of our engineered solutions portfolio; interpret functional requirements and select equipment using sound engineering judgment and practical field experience, balancing performance, risk, and cost optimization objectives.

  • Provide technical advice to identify opportunities within the installed base through upgrades, recurring contracts, digital engagement, and “as-a-service” business models.

  • Provide technical support for system functional testing, including customer-witnessed testing activities such as Pre-FAT, FATs, and SATs.

  • Execute technical solution design sessions and/or workshops with customers to position Emerson’s engineered solutions and product portfolio

  • Represent Emerson at technical societies, industry conferences, and trade shows as a subject-matter expert to strengthen technical credibility and market presence.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Relevant proven experience in solution architecture, systems engineering, application engineering, or technical pursuit leadership within large, matrixed organizations.

  • Technical proficiency in engineered solutions and lifecycle services, including analytical systems, custody transfer metering, emissions monitoring, and digital architecture.

  • Strong understanding of the automation industry, including instrumentation and control.

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50%. International travel may be required periodically.

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, Control, or Computer Engineering.

    • Advanced degree in Engineering or Engineering Management.

    • Experience with Emerson or Impact Partner analytical and measurement product lines.

    • Experience supporting EPCs and large capital project pursuits.

    • Familiarity with regulatory environments such as EPA emissions frameworks.
