Houston, TX, USA
Posted on Mar 25, 2026

We are hiring a Director, Sales Operations based in Houston, TX at our Rogerdale location. This role provides direct leadership to the North America (NA) Field Service Operations Leader, Service Center Operations Leader, and Engineered Solutions Project Operations teams, ensuring aligned execution across projects and services.

In this role you will deliver North American MSS (Measurement Solutions – Lifecycle Services & Engineered Solutions) trade sales (revenue recognition) through operational excellence in fulfillment, hub coordination, and customer-facing execution support. This role owns the operational execution required to convert orders into recognized sales—coordinating intercompany delivery with MSS Global Hubs (Pune, Cluj, SEA), integrating North Amica LCS contributions, and ensuring superior fulfillment performance that enables the selling organization to focus on double-digit order growth.

As a critical member of the NA MSS leadership team, you are accountable for the delivery of NA MSS sales numbers through flawless execution. You serve as the primary local escalation leader for customer fulfillment challenges (not selling relationships), representing Hub capabilities and constraints in customer-facing execution discussions when required. You participate in the Plan of Record (POR) process as the North America representative for sales delivery, operational readiness and execution readiness.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lifecycle Services Execution Leadership (Field & Service Centers)
    • Provide overall leadership and operational direction for North America Field Service Operations and Service Center Operations

    • Ensure seamless end-to-end service execution across field and workshop environments, optimizing resource utilization, service reliability, and customer response times

    • Drive alignment between field activities, service centers, and project delivery to create consistent customer experience

    • Establish performance expectations, operational KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives across Lifecycle Services operations

    • Support business growth by ensuring service delivery capabilities scale effectively with demand

  • Trade Sales Delivery & Fulfillment Excellence (Sales = Revenue Recognition)

    • Own World Area MSS trade sales delivery through operational execution, ensuring orders convert to recognized sales on schedule
    • Lead intercompany execution alignment with MSS Global Hubs (Pune, Cluj, SEA) to optimize project delivery, fulfillment, and revenue recognition
  • Voice of Customer ↔ Voice of MSS (Bidirectional Liaison)

    • Represent customer priorities, constraints, and execution risks to Global Hubs to accelerate resolution and improve delivery outcomes
    • Represent Hub capabilities, constraints, and execution plans to customers during delivery and escalation situations
  • Regional Gatekeeper for Execution Optimization

    • Optimize execution strategy based on regional context (import/export, duties, taxes, tariffs, delivery constraints, and local compliance)
    • Ensure alignment of project priorities, resource allocation, and delivery schedules across Hub and regional teams
  • SIOP / Capacity & Readiness Partnership

    • Act as a key stakeholder in SIOP processes to ensure Hub capacity and competency align to forecasted execution demand
    • Provide inputs to Global Hubs on capacity planning and readiness, surface competency improvement needs
  • Operational Signoffs for Pursuits (Execution Readiness)

    • Participating in operational reviews and signoffs for pursuits to ensure delivery commitments are executable
    • Validate execution approach, schedule feasibility, handoff readiness, and risk mitigation before commitments are finalized
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance

    • Partner with World Area MSS Leader and Finance Leader to deliver the sales plan with clear accountability boundaries (Orders vs Sales vs P&L)
    • Maintain execution governance cadence with Global Hubs; track performance, risks, and corrective actions

Who You Are:

You are an execution leader who thrives in complex, matrix environments and brings disciplined operational rigor to customer-facing delivery challenges. You communicate clearly, de-escalate effectively, and translate execution realities into actionable plans that protect customer commitments and enable revenue recognition. You are comfortable holding cross-functional teams accountable, driving closure, and improving execution systems over time.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Relevant professional experience commensurate with the scope and level of this role.
  • Demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplinary teams including project, service, and operational functions
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, field service operations, and service center execution models
  • Proven experience working across global delivery models and matrix organizations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel across North America up to 40%, international travel might be required on occasion
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in industrial B2B operations execution, project delivery, order-to-cash, or commercial execution roles
  • Experience with Emerson products or similar industrial automation technologies
  • Familiarity with Hub/CoE operating models and intercompany delivery coordination
  • Experience with SIOP, capacity planning inputs, and delivery readiness governance
  • Understanding of order management, customer care, and O2C practices in multi-country environments
  • Knowledge of measurement solutions applications (fiscal custody transfer, process gas, sustainability, LNG)
  • Experience managing execution in regulated environments and complex import/export logistics
