We’re looking for a proactive and people‑focused HR Generalist to join our team in Sissach, Switzerland!

This role will handle all essential HR processes necessary for the functioning of the Professional Tools sites in Sissach (Switzerland). You’ll work closely with local managers to ensure important HR administrative tasks are handled efficiently, as well as to start initiatives and projects to help drive organizational effectiveness and maintain a positive employee experience. To achieve these goals you will have have support from shared services within the wider Emerson organization, as well as the opportunity to engage in good practices' sharing with the HR colleagues within your Business Unit.

This is a part-time position (70-80%) that will work in a hybrid 4:1 model (3-4 days a week in the office, 1 day a week can be worked from home).

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  • Personnel planning in cooperation with the local managers;

  • Recruitment and selection of hourly positions and collaborate with a centralized recruiting team for salaried positions;

  • Personnel administration: handling all administrative tasks along the entire HR life cycle (contracts, certificates, work permits, data entry and filing, recording working hours);

  • Remuneration & benefits: Implementation of the annual salary round in compliance with Group guidelines, definition of fringe benefits for the location in compliance with Group guidelines;

  • Payroll: Working closely with the Payroll Expert in Switzerland. Maintaining accurate time card to ensure that payroll operation are carried out properly.

  • Labor and employee relations: Support in resolving workplace conflicts and managing labor relation;

  • Support people manager with employee related topics (performance management, leadership topics, ...);

  • Legal matters: Ensuring compliance with all labor laws and regulations;

  • Coordinate local HR Projects;

  • Participation in global or European HR projects (engagement survey, global career framework, performance management, Embrace Differences Day, Safety Day, Talent Reviews, ...);

For this role you will need:

  • Completed University studies

  • Previous experience in an HR generalist or specialist role (ex. recruiting, operations, admin etc.) in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, compliance and practices, as well as the local (Swiss) labor laws.

  • Strong networking & communication skills, with the ability to work well with colleagues at all levels in the organization.

  • Fluent English and Swiss German.

Preferred qualification to set you apart:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

  • Previous experience working in a matrix organization

  • Familiarity with Payroll processes

This role is focused on providing HR support for the employees in Sissach (Switzerland). He/she reports to the HR Director Professional Tools, based in Belgium.
