Job Summary
The Application Engineer is based in FCEC Chennai, India and as Application Engineer supporting Middle East and Africa, she/he is responsible to provide control valve engineering support for LBP and Sales offices for any project related enquiries. Perform Sizing and selection of control valves using proprietary FisherFirst2 software. Prepare Technical and Commercial Quote, technical deviations list, generate reports, drawings. Contact GIS & SPG teams for any technical/special price requirements.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Understand project guidelines and prepare quote meeting all customer requirements.
Clarify doubts on technical specifications/project guidelines through conference calls with Sales office/impact partner/FCEC senior engg.
Prepare Technical and Commercial Quote, technical deviations list and generate reports and drawings.
Correspond with LBPs/Sales offices as and when required for any clarifications to maintain a good understanding.
Provide support on project revisions from customer.
Support Sales office after the issue of PO and prepare transaction for order entry.
Provide technical support for OE /factory clarifications and assist with change orders.
Provide support on MRO opportunities, SPIR and RSPL generation jobs as and when required.
Maintain and report records of all work done.
Who You Are:
As Application Engineer, the candidate shall be responsible to manage RFQ’s received from sales offices/LBP’s and provide techno commercial offer for MEA World Area customers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Motivated and able to prioritize work based on customer needs.
Work well with Regional and internal stakeholders as part of a team.
Good communication skills
For This Role, You Will Need:
Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.
Experience in highly Mechanical / Design / Technology focused role.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ Overall experience
- 1 year experience in control valves (Sales & Application, Order engineering)
- General understanding on the quote to cash processes
- Preferred to have Basic Flow control product knowledge & its Sizing/Selection procedure, tools etc.
- Preferred to have knowledge in Fisher Quote to Order Process.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Order Engineering/Special Pricing experience in Fisher control valves would be an added advantage.
