Emerson is seeking a forward-thinking leader to oversee a team of project engineers delivering controls and software solutions for Water and Wastewater projects across North America. As the Director, Water Projects, you will guide strategy, execution, and innovation for our North America Projects organization. This role plays a critical part in supporting emerging water system modernization, driving operational excellence, and strengthening customer partnerships. The position is based in Cranberry Township, PA.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for employees across the Water Projects teams with multiple office locations
- Oversee the coordination, implementation, and execution of complex projects while ensuring alignment with company goals and commitments
- Support employee development and create pathways that enable continued professional growth
- Manage regional teams and operations located in San Francisco, San Diego, and Detroit that support strategic accounts in those markets
- Collaborate closely with customers and internal partners to deliver high-quality solutions and maintain strong satisfaction levels
- Engage with EPCs and AEs to identify strategic pursuits for large water accounts
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of Water and Wastewater projects
- Promote innovation by encouraging new practices and enhanced processes across cross‑functional teams
- Provide monthly forecasts for sales, inventory, and resource utilization
- Identify and implement best practices to improve project execution
- Stay informed on market trends to recommend new or improved service approaches

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering; Computer Science; or equivalent experience
- At least 10 years of experience in a project execution or engineering environment
- Demonstrated success leading teams within engineering or manufacturing settings through strategy development and execution
- Self‑driven with the ability to prioritize and deliver in a time‑sensitive environment
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience in project management or engineering with a focus on control system design, applications, commissioning, or field service
- Prior leadership or management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification
