Intern - Applications Engineering

- Participate in project-based engineering work under the guidance of experienced mentors, developing software and algorithms using NI hardware platforms to address customer needs
- Support daily operations of the Innovation Lab, collaborating with sales and marketing teams to deliver technical explanations and product demonstrations
- Contribute to the optimization of existing technical solutions and enhancement of related documentation
- Explore emerging test and measurement methods and technology trends to help strengthen product competitiveness
- Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student in communications, electronics, computer science, or a related engineering discipline
- Availability to commit to an internship of at least 4 months
- Demonstrated interest in technology and engineering through academic or personal project experience (such as vision systems, control, or signal processing)
- Experience with at least one programming language, such as C#, C++, Python, or LabVIEW
- Familiarity with common test and measurement instruments (for example, power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, SMUs, VSAs, VSGs, VSTs, or VNAs)
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in Mandarin and English
- Exposure to NI software and hardware platforms, such as LabVIEW, TestStand, VeriStand, or PXI
- Participation in university-level technical competitions or receipt of related awards
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments

The Engineering Intern Program offers junior, senior, and graduate students a hands-on, project-based internship experience lasting 4 months or longer. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn through real-world engineering challenges while contributing to customer-focused innovation. Interns begin with structured training across key application areas and software/hardware platforms supporting modern technologies, followed by applied project work in areas such as RF, FPGA, and electronic research and validation. Through mentorship and collaboration, interns build practical engineering capabilities that support team and customer success.
