- The candidate must have demonstrable experience in engineering Power Plant process solutions including, but not limited to, Combustion Turbines, Steam Turbines, Balance Of Plant, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Traditional Boilers and Water Treatment plants. This position will have three possible roles: Project Engineer, Technical Lead or Commissioning Engineer.
Project Engineer role:
With minimal direction can design some non-complex solutions.
Designs and implements hardware database, logics, graphics and datalinks.
With guidance selects hardware and software for project implementation.
Review application documentation for quality, accuracy and completeness.
Work closely with project technical leader/s to verify the project requirements are met accordingly.
Solve technical problems through the combination of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures, experience, or methods developed in previous assignments.
Work closely with partners to meet the project requirements and deadlines.
Consistently shows ability to accurately communicate with customers.
Constantly works proactively and independently.
Successful execution of assigned projects/services and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Execute project tasks/site services according to quality, delivery date and assigned budget.
Actively Participate in product enhancement and also lead the definitions of new solutions required by Innovative Projects
Lead activities like factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, and startup.
Technical Lead role:
Successful execution of assigned projects and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Supervise Subcontractors during Engineering, and Commissioning Phases
Responsible of Functional Design (Hardware and Software) including reverse Engineering in Retrofit Projects
Develop Implementation and Commissioning Plans and align them with Project Requirements
Supervise Remote Engineering teams (India, Cluj, others)
Promote Adoption of Productivity tools as well as actively seek for alternatives to optimize Engineering hours and establish actions to increase projects profit.
Validate Execution Strategy, Estimate Engineering Effort and Support Risk assessment for Project Pursuits
Solve technical problems through the combination of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures, experience, or methods developed in previous assignments.
Track project’s progress, budget performance and risk assessment and issue weekly reports.
Consistently shows ability to accurately communicate with customers.
Constantly works proactively and independently.
- Commissioning Engineer
- Participate or Lead loop and functional checks
- Lead the start-up and commissioning of Turbines, Boilers, and BOP equipment
- Make, or lead others to make necessary adjustments and tuning to deliver plant throughput
- Deliver expected results within Emerson's scope to the customer
