Based in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, this position supports production continuity through effective planning parameters, inventory projections, and cross-functional collaboration, while building a strong foundation in supply chain best practices and continuous improvement.
- Review and control material planning parameters to ensure alignment with production and business requirements.
- Project, monitor, and control inventory levels to support service, cost, and efficiency objectives.
- Plan purchase orders according to material requirements and maintain accurate delivery dates.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of Kanban and Pull systems.
- Expedite materials as needed to avoid production disruptions.
- Maintain MRP data, including monitoring MRP exceptions and/or pull system signals.
- Control, track, and coordinate Engineering Changes to ensure timely material alignment.
- Communicate with raw material suppliers regarding requirements, deliveries, and open issues.
- Control and follow up on material deviations to minimize operational impact.
- Prepare and send Open Orders Reports to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to materials planning, inventory accuracy, and supply reliability.
You plan and prioritize work based on general procedures while applying independent judgment to analyze facts, draw conclusions, and take appropriate action. You build effective working relationships and collaborate openly with others to achieve shared objectives. You approach problems with structure and initiative, demonstrating accountability and sound decision-making when managing routine and non-routine planning activities.
- Bachelor’s degree or Engineering degree, or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing systems such as MRP, Item Master data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Kanban systems.
- Exposure to raw material purchasing and material expediting activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.
- Basic to intermediate English communication skills.
- Master’s degree as an added value.
- One year of experience in a materials planning or supply chain role (not mandatory).
- One to five years of experience in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
- Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Interest in developing expertise in inventory control, pull systems, and continuous improvement.
