Position Summary:
As a Senior Analytical Service Engineer based in Qatar, you will play a critical role in delivering high‑quality aftermarket services for Emerson’s Measurement Solutions portfolio. This role supports customers across the region through start‑up, commissioning, maintenance, and lifecycle services for analytical systems and measurement products. By combining strong technical expertise with a customer‑focused mindset, you will help ensure safe, reliable operations while contributing to long‑term customer relationships and service business growth.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Perform start‑up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair activities for analytical systems and measurement products, including planning, execution, and customer reporting.
  • Provide advanced technical support for maintenance of analytical systems such as gas analyzers, liquid analyzers, combustion analyzers, fire and gas detection systems, CEMS, gas chromatographs, and related measurement solutions.
  • Conduct site surveys, walk‑downs, and installed‑base assessments to identify upgrade, optimization, and consulting opportunities.
  • Execute field modifications and system upgrades independently or in collaboration with project teams, as required.
  • Support and guide field service engineers by sharing technical expertise, providing coaching, and assisting with escalated service issues.
  • Contribute to long‑term service agreement (LTSA/AMC) planning and execution in line with contractual scope and conditions.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support customer satisfaction, loyalty, and growth of service revenue.
  • Track performance against agreed service metrics, analyze results, and support actions to achieve continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ensure consistent application of Emerson business processes, tools, and safety standards across all service activities.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • An engineering background or equivalent practical experience in instrumentation, electronics, electrical, mechanical, or related disciplines.
  • Experience supporting service, commissioning, or maintenance activities in industrial or process environments.
  • Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with internal teams and customers.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience supporting analytical systems, online analyzers, or measurement solutions in oil and gas, energy, or industrial applications.
  • Exposure to commissioning, start‑up, and lifecycle services for Emerson or comparable analytical products and systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work in a customer‑facing environment.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.

Senior Service Engineer – Qatar The Senior Service Engineer, based in Qatar will oversee the Service function for the MEA, and will be responsible for providing aftermarket services such as the start-up, commissioning and maintenance of Analytical Products and Systems/ shelters including Fire & Gas Detectors, Liquid Analyzers, Combustion Analyzers, Continuous Gas Analyzers, Cascade, CEMS, Process Gas Chromatographs, RTG and Measurement Products. Provide exceptional services to Customers that enhance Customer loyalty and Customer satisfaction. Proactively work with customers to grow after-sales services revenue.
