Maintenance Technician

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns across fixed plant and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and system faults using appropriate tools and technical expertise.
- Complete maintenance activities in line with planned schedules, safety requirements, and site procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including time recording and equipment history.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors onsite, ensuring adherence to safety and operational requirements.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and development of maintenance schedules for new plant and equipment.
- Identify critical spare parts, maintain inventory records, and liaise with suppliers as required.
- Carry out calibration of measuring equipment and maintain quality and compliance records.
- Contribute to a clean, organised workplace and apply continuous improvement practices such as 5S.

Actively promote safe work practices, participate in risk assessments, and support equipment safety audits.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- A recognised mechanical trade qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience maintaining fixed plant and production equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- A solid understanding of workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Confidence using a broad range of tools, including power tools and welding equipment.
- The ability to plan, prioritise, and document maintenance activities effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience using maintenance management or asset management software.
- A restricted electrical licence.
- Forklift licence.
- First aid certification.
- Experience supporting contractor management onsite.
