- Lead and manage all aspects of the SEA Hub finance function, ensuring strong financial governance and compliance
- Partner closely with Operations and Engineering leaders to support financial planning, operational performance, and informed business decisions
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Emerson accounting policies
- Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting through Oracle, HFM, and related reporting systems
- Lead the development and management of the SEA Hub annual operating plan, including full P&L ownership, headcount planning, asset management, and cost forecasting
- Coordinate quarterly and mid‑year financial reviews, including forecasting updates, variance analysis, and operational performance insights
- Prepare and review President’s Operating Review (POR) schedules and management reporting packages
- Partner with Operations teams to establish and monitor labor absorption rates and utilization for project execution activities
- Analyze project profitability, resource utilization, and cost optimization opportunities across the SEA Hub
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls in line with Emerson policies, statutory requirements, and financial governance standards
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory requirementsCoordinate internal, external, and tax audits, and support timely resolution of audit findings
- Perform periodic inventory and asset control reviews where applicable
- Prepare quarterly income tax calculations and support corporate tax reporting requirements
- Deliver regular and ad‑hoc financial analysis related to orders, sales, margins, and operational performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, standardization, automation, and adoption of finance best practices
- Build, develop, and lead the SEA Hub finance team through effective workload planning, coaching, performance management, and capability development
- Collaborate with regional and global Finance, Operations, and Business Unit leaders to support MSS strategies and objectives
- You consistently deliver accurate and timely insights that support effective decision‑making and operational performance. You build strong, collaborative relationships across functions and geographies, communicate financial information clearly to diverse audiences, and approach challenges with analytical rigor and sound judgment. You demonstrate accountability, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement, while developing others and fostering a culture of ownership and trust.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- A recognized professional accounting qualification (such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA, or equivalent)
- Relevant experience in finance and accounting roles, ideally within multinational, project‑based, engineering, or industrial environments
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and Malaysian statutory and tax requirements
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning processes
- Exposure to audits, regulatory compliance, and internal control frameworks
- The ability to analyze financial and operational data at both detailed and strategic levels
- Familiarity with ERP and financial reporting systems (Oracle and HFM preferred)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Clear and effective communication skills in English, written and verbal
- Flexibility to collaborate across time zones to support global stakeholders
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Automation, or Industrial Solutions industries
- Exposure to global shared services, engineering hubs, or project execution organizations
- Experience supporting or managing regional finance operations within Southeast Asia
- A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration

As the Finance Controller – Southeast Asia (SEA) Hub, you will be a key member of the Measurement Systems and Solutions (MSS) Finance organization, supporting the financial management and operational governance of the SEA Hub based in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. The SEA Hub is a strategic operations center within the MSS Project Execution Hub framework, enabling global project execution, engineering services, and lifecycle solutions. In this role, you will lead financial planning, control, forecasting, compliance, and performance management activities while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, and Global MSS leadership.
