Job Summary

As an Associate Project Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to support both PATH Support and occasionally Tier 1 or maintenance projects, with the direction, implementation, execution and control ensuring alignment with company strategy, commitments, and objectives. Working with a PWS NA Group Manager or an assigned mentor, progressively take on more challenging tasks to build knowledge, enhance skills, and gain hands-on project management experience.

In this role, your responsibilities will be

  • Provide Support in Project Management Process such as TP2000 (PATH), TP3000 and assist occasionally in managing Tier 1 (small scale low complexity) or maintenance projects

  • Works closely with the PWS NA Group Manager, Senior Project Manager, or assigned mentor, gaining hands-on experience in project execution
  • Applies basic knowledge of the Project Management Execution Process and its phases to support project delivery.
  • Basic understanding project fundamentals: scope, schedule, cost baseline, and contract terms (including Emerson’s Standard Terms).
  • Coordinate project activities, including order entry, execution, documentation, invoicing and subscription tracking management.
  • Take ownership and monitor progress regularly, ensure deliverables are met, and project properly closed.
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including but not limited to RFIs, submittals, change notices, and project logs.
  • Participate in resource planning, forecasting, procurement tracking, and risk management.
  • Support change management efforts and ensure timely communication with collaborators.
  • Assist in coordinating internal teams and customer collaborators, including being on-site when needed.
  • Contribute to field activities and commissioning support, if required.
  • Accurately document meeting notes and project initiation details.
  • Actively understand and promote a Safety and Quality culture by following all applicable safety and quality policies, procedures, work practices and programs
  • Proactively seek opportunities to develop new skills through engaging in new tasks and responsibilities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

For this role, you will need (must):

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years in planning or related projects roles (engineering, proposals, etc).
  • A basic understanding of project management execution processes and knowledge areas (scope, cost, scheduling, risk, procurement, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of project fundamentals and knowledge areas (Scope, contract, cost and financials, change orders, resource and scheduling, Risk management, Procurement, Change and Integration management)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (B2 English level or higher).
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred qualifications that set you a part:

  • Project Management Certification.
  • Previous experience or knowledge with Power and Water Projects Industry.
  • Experience in control systems, project control, or project engineering.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to influence collaborators.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive project success.
  • Experience supporting commissioning and field coordination activities
