Position Summary:
If you are a Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager – Regional Sales professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by expanding Emerson’s business across the East region of India. Based in Kolkata, you will support growth for the Power, Water & Solutions portfolio and other businesses within the Control Systems & Software Business Unit. You will work closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to deliver value-driven automation and software solutions while strengthening Emerson’s presence across West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, and the Northeast.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Achieve and exceed assigned order and growth targets through disciplined territory and account planning
Develop accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts using Emerson’s CRM tools
Engage the assigned marketplace with a comprehensive Power, Water & Solutions portfolio
Drive greenfield opportunities and lifecycle, aftermarket, and services business across the territory
Identify and develop new customers, including opportunities for competitive displacement and expansion
Build strong relationships with end users, consultants, OEMs, and EPC partners
Strengthen key account management and long-term customer partnerships
Position solution offerings such as modernization, upgrades, migrations, expansions, and evergreen programs
Act as the voice of the customer, sharing insights with internal stakeholders to improve solutions and execution
Collaborate closely with business development, finance, legal, operations, services, and other business units
Align execution with regional and business strategies defined by leadership

For This Role, You Will Need:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience in technical sales or business development within automation, control systems, or industrial software
Working knowledge of distributed control systems, PLC, SCADA, and related automation technologies
Ability to apply consultative selling approaches to create value for end users and consultants
Understanding of power, metals, or process industries, with the ability to translate customer requirements into automation solutions
Strong technical aptitude to engage confidently with customers, consultants, and internal experts
Clear and effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Confidence to work with and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles across large industrial customers
Exposure to lifecycle services, modernization, or digital transformation initiatives
Experience working across diverse geographies and customer segments within India
A track record of building long-term customer partnerships and repeat business
