Position Summary:
The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and growing strategic customer relationships within the Oil & Gas sector in Angola. This role focuses on expanding new business opportunities, strengthening existing key accounts, and positioning Emerson’s full portfolio of products and services to deliver long-term value. Acting as a trusted partner to customers, the role plays a critical part in driving sustainable growth, ethical business practices, and customer satisfaction across the region.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Identify, develop, and grow new and existing customer opportunities by applying effective sales strategies and customer-focused solutions.
- Build a deep understanding of customer businesses, priorities, and challenges to position Emerson’s products and services effectively.
- Establish strong, trust-based relationships and act as a primary point of contact and advisor for assigned key accounts.
- Increase market share through competitive positioning and strategic portfolio placement across projects and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams to deliver coordinated and high-quality customer engagement.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive customer loyalty, engagement, and long-term growth.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline data using business planning and CRM tools.
- Engage with industry stakeholders, including joint ventures, international and national oil companies, and regulatory bodies.
- Represent Emerson professionally while promoting ethical business practices, safety, and compliance in all interactions.
- Support additional strategic initiatives as required to meet business objectives.
- Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- A degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong experience working within the Oil & Gas industry in Angola.
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales and customer relationship management.
- Experience engaging senior-level customer stakeholders and building long-term partnerships.
- A consultative, customer-first approach to selling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently.

- Experience in the process automation or related industrial sectors.
