Semiconductor & Electronics BU (SEBU) Systems R&D group of Emerson Test & Measurement Unit has an opening for a Principal Project Manager with strong project management and communication skills. This group works on a wide variety of projects ranging from creating systems/components for validation and characterization of RF Front Ends, RF Power Amplifier, Data Converters, Power Management ICs, Sensors, MEMS, PCB Assembly etc., to creating systems/components such as the NI Semiconductor Test System (STS) used for production testing of RF and Mixed Signal ICs.
Handle projects which are part of multi-million-dollar product line that addresses innovative applications with high growth and tight time-to-market expectations. You are joining a guide and growing team in a fast-paced business area within a highly respected, market leading company.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Collaborate with Business Managers, Business line leads and system architects to define future roadmap. Resolve resource needs, secure internal and external resources as needed to implement the projects/roadmap
- Lead projects from definition to release through the use of the System Development Process.
- Accountable for project definition, planning and execution to meet scope, cost, and timeline goals while maintaining long-term quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively drive risks from projects by proposing, evaluating, and leading risk mitigation alternatives that seek balance of schedule/features/cost/quality.
- Responsible for making trade-offs to stay within the project bounding box.
- Ensure efficient and timely collaboration with global R&D teams, and other supporting teams to accomplish the release of the product/system.
- Facilitate technical and key project related decisions with team and collaborators to successfully resolve issues and raise when appropriate
- Optimally communicate project status, trade-offs, and risks to collaborators, including senior executives.
- Share project management standard methodologies, and mentor the team and junior project managers to adopt the standard methodologies.
- Propose and implement innovative new processes for effective and efficient communication, operations, & execution alignment on large projects/program.
- Partner with business leaders to recommend the effective approach to solving business challenges using project management and change management capabilities.

- Education: Bachelors or master's degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum experience of 10+ years including 6+ years of Project management experience and 4+ years of experience in application/system development in LabVIEW/Python/C++/C#.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, analytical approach, and effective problem-solving skills
- Strong multi-functional collaboration skills and an ability to influence others without authority
- Dedicated and motivated individual who can volunteer for new challenges without being asked
- Demonstrates strong organizational abilities and pays close attention to detail, enabling effective management of multiple projects
- Background in design/development of products (systems, software, and/or hardware)
- Experience in Test & Measurement industry using NI/Third-party hardware, drivers, and application software such as TestStand, and LabVIEW.
- Experience in Semiconductor validation of Mixed Signal/RFICs and ATE platforms.
