We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead our R&D team in Debrecen. In this role, you will guide a group of engineers in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions that support Emerson’s innovation agenda. You will foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, balance hands-on technical leadership with people development, and ensure alignment with global engineering standards and business goals.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Develop complete test solutions (hardware and software) for new NI hardware products at our Debrecen R&D site
  • Evaluate test coverage, measurement accuracy, and long-term reliability
  • Build a deep understanding of product circuitry and functional behavior
  • Solve complex test development challenges and coordinate related engineering tasks
  • Collaborate closely with local and international product development teams, including opportunities for short-term foreign assignments
  • Maintain proactive communication with internal customers and stakeholders
  • Support trial production and product ramp-up activities in Debrecen
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for products already in production

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
  • Experience working in the electronics industry
  • Solid understanding of measurement technology
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuits
  • Confident, professional-level English communication skills
  • A proactive mindset with openness to learning and professional growth
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience in hardware test development
  • Programming experience
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, or repairing electronic circuits
  • Familiarity with NI hardware products or test systems
