In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Export License Management
- Handling various export licenses, including:
- Advance License
- SCOMET License (Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment & Technologies)
- Brand Rate / Export Promotion Schemes
- Ensuring timely application, tracking, utilization, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Liaising with government authorities for license issuance, amendments, and clarifications.
2. Import Compliance & Customs Queries
- Resolving customs and regulatory queries related to import shipments, including:
- SIMS (Strategic Import Management System)
- PIMS (Project Import Management System)
- Other applicable regulatory clearances
- Ensuring compliance with Foreign Trade Policy, Customs Act, and related regulations.
- Preparing and submitting statutory documents and reports to authorities.
3. Special Shipment Management
- Managing Re-Import and Re-Export shipments.
- Handling Capital Goods imports, including duty exemptions and associated documentation.
- Coordinating with vendors, freight forwarders, and customs authorities for seamless execution.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintaining accurate records of licenses, shipping documents, customs correspondence, and approvals.
- Preparing periodic MIS reports on license utilization, shipment status, and compliance.
- Coordinating with Finance, Procurement, and Sales teams for data alignment.
5. Process Improvement & Regulatory Updates
- Identifying opportunities to streamline EXIM processes for improved efficiency and compliance.
- Staying updated on changes in trade policies, customs procedures, and licensing requirements.
Who You Are:
- Strong knowledge of EXIM regulations, licensing procedures, and customs processes.
- Hands-on experience with SIMS, PIMS, and other regulatory portals.
- Exposure to Re-Import, Re-Export, and Capital Goods shipments.
- Strong documentation, coordination, and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities for customs and regulatory issues.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in Export-Import operations, preferably in manufacturing or international trade.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Mandatory hands-on exposure to government licensing systems and customs procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in working oracle or any ERP Tool
- MS office/ BI Tool Knowledge.
