- Review purchase requisitions and release purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with local and global suppliers to ensure material availability aligned with execution plans and service level targets.
- Identify supply risks proactively and escalate challenges to support on-time delivery.
- Maintain and update master data, including system-managed inventory mechanisms.
- Partner with planning teams to provide updates on open purchase orders and material status.
- Support planning teams with technical feasibility insights during project quotation stages.
- Work closely with global supply chain, quality, logistics, stores, production, and finance teams to resolve P2P cycle issues.
- Implement engineering changes in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Identify supply chain challenges and drive improvement plans with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
- Negotiate with suppliers to optimize lead times and cost efficiency.
- Prepare and share periodic reports on supply chain performance and metrics.
- Support, guide, and motivate team members to achieve shared goals.
- Recommend and implement process improvements within procurement operations.

- A degree in Mechanical, Production Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Significant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, including hands-on exposure to casting or forging categories.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and commercial terms.
- Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with import procedures and outsourcing processes.
- Experience sourcing fabricated or buyout components.
- Ability to document processes and analyze operational data for informed decision-making.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of foundry processes and casting/forging manufacturing techniques.
- Experience working in a global or matrixed organization.
- Exposure to enterprise systems and supply chain planning tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead improvement initiatives or projects.
