In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Build and sustain long-term stakeholder networks with government agencies, focusing on local government authorities, industry associations and relevant third-party institutions.

  • Coordinate high-level bilateral exchanges between Emerson’s senior leadership and government officials, including drafting briefing materials, arranging on-site logistics, and driving cross-functional internal alignment conducting.

  • Monitor and analyse national industrial policies, investment regulations, as well as domestic political and economic trends; compile and submit the quarterly GA report and policy analysis as required.

  • Develop and consolidate strategic partnerships with core industry associations; explore high-value industrial resources to support business and elevate Emerson’s reputation across China.

  • Gain thorough understanding of Emerson China strategies, business needs and development objectives; translate corporate business priorities and key concerns into standardized, policy-compliant communication narratives for policymakers and government stakeholders.

  • Provide support for corporate business development, investment projects, operation issues, policy advocacy and official government events.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in government affairs and public policy roles.

  • In-depth understanding of trade, technology and economic policy formulation and legislative procedures at central and provincial government levels.

  • Demonstrated success in building long-term government stakeholder networks; proactive in continuously expanding and deepening existing connections.

  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities; able to independently oversee government affairs programs and manage multiple parallel workstreams efficiently.

  • Strong cross-department collaboration awareness, able to align with business, legal, investment and operation teams to deliver solutions from governmental perspective.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven experience developing high-quality official briefings, policy documents and communication materials.
