Job Description
Conduct purchasing in support of inventory management goals and activities. Administer proper terms and conditions, ensure compliance to Fisher procedures and trade compliance for new supplier set-up. Ensures PO’s are requested for the factory needs or to the best LT that can be given by supplier if not possible. Communication of periodic performance reports to key suppliers, along with facilitation of regular conference calls.

Makes sure, final product is fully in line with write up, prior to completion.
Procurement:

Initiate RFQs in accordance with global sourcing strategies and Approved Vendor List, ensuring alignment with project BOMs and casting specifications for control valve components.

Issue and manage Casting, Trims and other parts Purchase Orders promptly via Oracle ERP, ensuring visibility and traceability across the supply chain.

Implement proactive measures for early/late deliveries, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans.

Address supplier technical queries related to castings, and trims. Ensure compliance with Fisher Engineering Standards, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) requirements.

Manage PO execution for external suppliers, intercompany (Inter-Co) transfers, and buyout components. Maintain accurate delivery dates and reschedule lines in Oracle based on supplier feedback and factory needs.

Reconcile monthly Supplier SOAs to ensure timely payments. Collaborate with Finance to resolve invoice mismatches, GRN (Goods Receipt Note) issues, and pending invoice postings.

Communication of periodic performance reports to key suppliers, along with facilitation of regular conference calls.

Driving efficient logistics execution through streamlined communication with forwarders, vendors, and stores.

Support supplier expedition whenever business is called for.

Manage customs duty exemptions and ensure compliance with customs clearance regulations.

Clear communication of business needs and requests to suppliers, to influence and motivate suppliers to support set objectives. Completion of weekly milestone reviews to supplier and update the system with late deliveries and reschedules.

Review and update planning parameters such as lead times, MOQ, safety stock, and ABC classification. Drive inventory turns improvement while ensuring supply continuity.

Administer supplier onboarding with adherence to Fisher’s trade compliance, NDA, and quality assurance protocols.

Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Operations teams to align sourcing strategies.

Ensure a competitive and technically competent supply base, to meet quality, delivery, service and cost objectives

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering with 3-5 years overall experience.

3+ Years Experience in Procurement related to Casting and Trims (control valve industry).

Strong knowledge and proven experience in Castings and Machining.

Skilled at independently handling various tasks and consistently delivering results.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel,Word,Presentation,Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS CPIM Certified or In process / Level 5 CIPS Diploma.
- Skilled in PowerApps, Excel Macro and coding.

Job Summary The Casting and Trim Purchase Engineer is responsible for the direct sourcing of materials from the approved supply base. The purchasing engineer is responsible for ensuring that all materials are acquired and delivered to the factory in accordance with the operational strategy, thereby optimizing cost savings, inventory turnover (ITO), and service levels. Furthermore, the purchasing engineer serves as the liaison between the manufacturing facility and the supplier, advocating for the facility's operational requirements and strategic interests.
