Job Summary

Manage the health and safety of System and Software Business Unit (SYSS) facilities and their operation in Saudi Arabia. Implement and maintain Quality Management systems, review processes, and ensure continual quality improvements as per Emerson and customer standards and qualifications. You will be responsible for the safety; therefore must respect EHS regulations, as well as respect and ensure adherence to all Emerson trade compliance rules.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

HSE Responsibilities:

  • Sustain a thorough understanding and expertise in Health, Safety, and Environment matters to effectively advise and support the Business Unit Saudi Arabia team and sites.
  • Oversee the continuous enhancement of the Health, Safety, and Environment management systems and standards for the site and operations, ensuring alignment with Emerson’s systems and policies.
  • Actively collaborate with the business unit teams to foster ownership and accountability for HSE improvements and to encourage a positive Health & Safety culture within the organization through effective enhancement activities.
  • Ensure all HSE reports are promptly and comprehensively investigated, with lessons shared, complete reports generated, and relevant details entered into the reporting system.
  • Prepare, track, and analyze statistical data regarding Health, Safety, and Environmental trends, sharing insights with employees and the leadership team.
  • Regularly review, update, and, if necessary, create risk registers, policies, and procedures to effectively manage Health, Safety, and Environmental risks.
  • Provide guidance on appropriate site training, conduct HSE inductions and general HSE training, and attend HSE Committee meetings.
  • Ensure enough trained First-Aiders and Fire Marshals are appointed, according to risk assessments and needs.
  • Guide and support Assurance activities across the Saudi team to enable strategic and target achievements, enhance operational efficiency and performance, and ensure compliance with ISO 14001/45001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
  • Audit, monitor, and assess the execution of Health and Safety policies, practices, and procedures for all operations, ensuring regular audits, inspections, and safety tours are conducted per standards, and providing corrective action guidance when necessary.
  • Foster relationships with external HSE bodies and clients to promote a collaborative working environment.
  • Development of project HSE documentation, including HSE Plans.
  • Ensure the business unit facilities adhere to all relevant laws and regulations related to facilities, including Emerson standards and local legislation.
  • Oversee facility-related matters, including maintenance, ensuring safe contractor coordination (e.g., catering, janitorial services, building contractors, landscaping, gardening) and management of critical equipment, aligning with recommended best practices and maintaining documented records of maintenance actions.
  • Guarantee that all activities within the business unit, whether routine or non-routine, are included in HIRA.
  • Implement PTW before undertaking any non-routine activities within the business unit.

Quality Responsibilities:

  • Implementation, maintenance, and further development of the Quality Management System and ISO 9001 certification within the facility.
  • Develop and maintain a continuous improvement process as part of the QMS.
  • Develop/Implement new processes and optimize the current processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Co-ordinate, conduct, and represent the facility for internal and external audits (ISO, Trade Compliance, HSE, FM, other audits), including certification audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with both Corporate and Legal requirements.
  • Be the quality contact for suppliers, customers, and subcontractors for issues and complaint handling, and serve as a point of escalation for compliance issues.
  • Coordinate with Process owners to implement corrective actions on time, close any findings/complaints, and verify the effectiveness of implementation of corrective actions.
  • Building internal Quality awareness amongst employees through trainings & internal communications.
  • Conducting supplier audits to ensure their adherence to Emerson's Quality Management System requirements
  • Working with the global supply chain team to improve the manufacturing process and tools.
  • Work with project managers, lead engineers, and engage in periodic meetings to achieve project deliverables within required timeframes.
  • Responsible for the Record Retention Process within the department.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • proven experience in QHSE.
  • Strong Communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of Oracle is Advantageous
