Senior Microwave Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Microwave Design Engineer to join our Microwave and Electronics group within the Engineering organization. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of advanced radar-based sensing technologies used in industrial automation. You will work across the full product lifecycle, helping deliver high-performance, reliable solutions that support safer and more sustainable operations globally. This position is based in Linköping, Sweden, with a hybrid work arrangement available.
- Design, develop, and improve passive and active microwave solutions, including radar front-ends, antennas, waveguide structures, and RF components
- Contribute to all phases of product development, from concept and prototyping to testing and production ramp-up
- Perform simulation, design, and validation of RF circuits and systems using industry-relevant tools and methods
- Develop and enhance engineering processes, tools, and ways of working
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure system integration and performance
- Provide technical guidance and share expertise with colleagues across teams
- Engage with external partners, including industry stakeholders and academic institutions, to support innovation and knowledge sharing

- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a focus on high-frequency circuits, systems, or electromagnetics
- Experience working in microwave, RF, or radar system design within a product development or engineering environment
- Hands-on experience with circuit simulation, schematic design, and PCB layout tools (e.g., Microwave Office, HFSS, or similar)
- Practical experience setting up and performing laboratory measurements for RF circuits and systems
- Ability to communicate effectively in English in a global working environment
- Experience working with FMCW radar technology or similar sensing systems
- Knowledge of antenna design and wireless communication systems
- Familiarity with system integration in industrial or embedded environments
- Experience collaborating across teams or mentoring colleagues
- Basic knowledge of Swedish or willingness to learn
Additional Information:
This position is based in Linköping and travels to the Gothenburg office will be required when needed. We offer the possibility of working from home one day per week.
