This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining a standardized approach to technical training for departments within operations. This highly visible position works across many functions to ensure our products are being made to the highest quality standards possible. As a Training Manager, You Will:
- Be responsible for designing, building, and executing a training system for our plant processes
- Be responsible for creating and maintaining a standardized approach to operations training
- Have proven skills in building/sustaining production training programs, including proper training materials, trainee/trainer interactions and monitoring the program’s effectiveness
- Maintain training documentation essential to the position
- Establish and maintain audit systems to verify compliance to safety, quality, & related production projects

- Conduct plant-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed, including training records needs assessment
- Implement processes and systems to address training needs and gaps
- Work with subject matter experts, design & develop training programs in all production areas
- Identify and implement the appropriate training methods or activities required
- Designs, prepares and orders educational aids and materials
- Periodically hosts training on off shifts as needed
Assess trainee/trainer effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills
Advise management on training opportunities as observed and develop action plans as appropriate
Gather feedback from trainers and trainees to ensure training effectiveness
Acts independently to improve training processes
Maintain updated training records, including digital training records and training matrices
Directs and monitors trainers as they perform production training functions
Develop, implement, and maintain production wide audit systems (ensure effectiveness)
Comfortable giving feedback and presenting to management staff
Coaching, leading, mentoring, and teaching skills, as well as the ability to learn each job and the products
Act with integrity and respect in all relationships
Communicate openly and appreciate the effort of others

Required Education, Experience & Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field, plus 3-5 years of Training and Development experience, or equivalent
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is required
• Goal oriented, confident, outgoing, & able to work well under pressure in a manufacturing setting
• Above average Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office applications, and Adobe Creative Cloud or other video editing software.
• Ability to develop and maintain standards, manage processes, and analyze information,
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage production training programs
- Demonstrated performance in continuous improvements (6S, Kaizen, process improvements, etc.)
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with emphasis on planning and prioritizing
- Must be able to work independently, demonstrate effective initiative as well as good judgement
